Is BallKnowledge completely free?
Yes. Every game mode — quizzes, daily challenges and multiplayer — is free to play. There are no paywalls or subscriptions. Lives regenerate automatically over time, and you earn coins daily to buy extra lives if you run out.
How do lives (hearts) work?
You start with up to 3 hearts. Wrong answers and timeouts each cost one heart. Hearts regenerate automatically — one heart every 30 minutes. If you run out, spend coins to buy one back instantly, or simply wait.
What is the daily streak and why does it matter?
Your streak increases by 1 each day you complete at least one daily challenge. Maintaining a streak earns bonus coins every day. Breaking your streak resets it to zero, so try to play every day!
How is my quiz score calculated?
Each correct answer earns points scaled by difficulty: Easy (5 pts), Medium (10 pts), Hard (15 pts). A speed bonus rewards quick answers, and a consecutive-correct streak inside the quiz multiplies your score. Wrong answers cost a heart but never deduct points.
Can I play BallKnowledge on my phone?
Yes. BallKnowledge is fully mobile-responsive and works in any browser on iOS or Android. It is also available as a native Android app for an even smoother experience.
What are the rank tiers?
There are 7 rank tiers: Ball Boy, Amateur, Semi-Pro, Professional, World Class, Legend and Ballon d'Or. Your total score across all game modes determines your tier. Keep playing daily to climb the ranks.
What are the multiplayer modes?
There are two multiplayer modes. 1v1 Friendly: create a room, share the code, and play 4 rounds back-to-back (Quiz, Guess the Team, Transfer Trail, Guess the Lineup) — taking turns. Football Blitz: a real-time showdown where both players answer each challenge simultaneously, with speed bonuses for first correct answers and unique-answer bonuses in Guess the Kit rounds.
How often is quiz content updated?
Daily challenges update every day at midnight UTC. Quiz questions and the player database are expanded regularly. If you spot an error or want to suggest a question, use the in-app feedback button — we read every report.
Can I add my own quiz questions?
Yes! Once you reach 500 points, a "Propose a Question" button unlocks in the Community tab. Submit your question, correct answer, three wrong answers and pick one or more categories. An admin reviews every submission — approved questions go live in the quiz for all players.
